About This Program

The Preserve is part of El Rancho de las Golondrinas. The mission of El Rancho de Las Golondrinas is to preserve the legacy of the land and the cultural traditions of New Mexico. The Phenology Team has three volunteers (two are Master Naturalists), that collect data once a week at the Preserve.  We track the phenology of: chamisa, yerba mansa, annual sunflower, 3 species of milkweeds, tree cholla, one seed juniper, NM olive, cottonwood, and two currant species.
